It is advisable to have your own annual insurance policy to cover your self employment activity. Whilst any show you are working on will (or should) have their own cover as should the band, the promoter, the production company etc it is best not to rely on them unless you have seen and understood the paperwork!
If you are involved with any sort of show/tour cancellation and non-appearance insurance is also vital for artistes, promoters, agents, venue owners, caterers and merchandisers.
There are specialist music industry insurers who can advise on all risks related to the music industry....
