well im a sound student and have been noticing how digiteal desks are getting alot simpler to use sutch as the XL8 is sutch a simple desk to use as its laid out like a analog, i had a basic session running on it within 30 mins

Very good point, more enlightened musicians have lots of backline on stage to look good but don't feel the need to plug it in

thanks andy the email u sent me with advice helped alot i contacted the local pa companys you suggested but they were not hireing or were looking for more experiance people

Relatively unrelatedly, but Brian May only uses 3 amps at a time. He only has 9 on stage so he can switch between them, otherwise they catch fire.

Relatively relatedly, I reckon the sound at big gigs has definitely improved and made it possible to fill stadiums, but from what my dad has said to me (and the fact that for a while in my previous band we got away with using a lot of his old equipment) there doesn't seem to have been a massive leap in the quality of small gigs.
