Friend was watching films at London Film festival, 2 music films, the Joe Meek one and 1234 with Anvil to come. Anyone think that any rock/pop films have been any good? Obviously Spinal Tap excepted.

I did find Rock the Bells documentary rather splendid for a naked expose of the behind the scenes stress in creating the last gig with the Wu Tang Clan. On similar lines, Dave Chapelles Block Party was rather fun..

so many tho.. A Hard Days Night, obviously, and The Kids are Alright from the Who. Oh and Portishead in New York.

Am keen to see 1234, sounded interesting from the press release, like a good US mumblecore indie which we struggle to emulate here - isn't there a Radiohead connection with it?

Not sure about Radiohead but I know someone who would know. For naked exposes I liked Alvin and the Chipmunks, Uncle Ian is a better nasty music biz exec than the guy in Kill Your Friends
