i have started this to see as i no many people at my college have been stuck with

going on to work- maybe for little money and gaining experience and contacts

or going on to part time or full time education maybe after college to gain the qualification that employers love as well as contacts.



just want to hear your opinions on what is the better way to start and what method would you choose in this day and age were many people have the qualifications and experience and it is hard to challenge and compete for the same jobs ?

i got to be honest go for the qualification you will gain alot at collage/uni and your proberly still got years to get the experiance you need to get were you want to go

BUT if you have the contacts and the chance to fly is there take it,you can allways go back to study if it dosnt work out

As I have experienced, I also followed the same way as your college people are doing and got to this position of a Call Center Manager after so long. I enrolled as an assistant in a small firm and as you have said, making contacts from the place I worked I got up to here.
I am not saying that I am not satisfied with what I am now, but to be honest to myself, I could not take my studies with my work as I thought. So qualification should be given the top most priority though you work. And when you get qualified then you will have lots of opportunities in your hand. You will have qualification, experience from your previous work, and you can continue with the same work until you will not have the work as your qualification.
